Alexandria Ocasio Cortez Reacts To Hutchinson’s Testimony On Colbert
The new details were related to the Trump administration’s involvement in the riots which were called Anti-Democracy riots throughout the world. Reacting to the new explosive details which came out, Alexandria called it “Stunning”.
In the statement, she said, “It was just stunning to understand and see the detail and the depth through which there was a consciousness of guilt.” Ocasio-Cortez further said that the rioters knew that what they were doing was wrong.
The congresswoman and activist appeared on “The Late Show” as a guest just some hours after former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson made some shocking reveals regarding Former President Donald Trump’s then-chief of staff, Mark Meadows, and some other top officials inquired about receiving presidential pardons concerning their involvement in the Capitol Hill riots of January 6 last year.
Cassidy Hutchinson, who is a close aide to the then-White House staff chief Mark Meadows shared the new details of the revelations during a hearing held by House select committee investigating the Capitol riot on Tuesday.
In the hearing Cassidy also revealed that Trump wanted to go along with his supporters who were rioting on Capitol Hill. He also said that Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of the presidential SUV away from his Secret Service driver in a desperate effort to join his supporters.
While snatching away the steering wheel Trump was reportedly shouting, “I’m the f***ing president! Take me up to the Capitol now!” Cassidy also revealed that former President Trump pounced on the Secret Service agent, choking him. When interviewed about the testimony Alexandria called it “Stunning”

Speaking about the testimony the US Congresswoman said, “At the very end of this hearing you hear that Mark Meadows, the chief of staff to the president himself, asked for a pardon because he knew that he was breaking the law to seize power and undermine the democracy of the United States of America.”
Talking about Trump getting mad at his secret service agent she told a disbelief expression, “It is stunning, it is stunning. And that the president himself was willing to choke his secret service to do so,”
About Capitol Hill Riots
On Jan 6 last year a violent mob of Trump supporters attacked the Capitol Building. This riot is known as the Capitol Hill riot of the Capitol Hill attack. Supporters of Trump tried to overturn his defeat in the US Presidential elections by carrying out these violent riots.
All these rioters were called by the Former US President Donald Trump. Nearly 140 Police officers were injured in the riots and 15 were hospitalized for severe injuries. More than 865 rioters were charged for these Anti-Democracy riots.
