The film includes interviews with professionals, survivors, and others who were involved in the case in some way. Gacy was one of many serial killers to emerge in the 1970s, but he remains one of the most terrifying, in part because he appeared to be a regular guy, if not a community pillar.

By day, John Wayne Gacy worked as a clown at children’s hospitals under the stage names ‘Pogo the Clown’ and ‘Patches the Clown.’ Nobody imagined that this friendly clown was a nighttime serial killer of young boys and men.
John Wayne Gacy’s career as a serial killer began on January 2, 1972, when Timothy McCoy, an adolescent who lived with Gacy, got up early and prepared supper. Gacy, who was using a knife, was caught off guard. Gacy claimed he was taken aback and fatally stabbed McCoy.
Despite the fact that the initial crime was an accident, it triggered something in Gacy, who spent the next six years searching for and murdering other individuals.
Simultaneously, Gacy was a well-liked member of his community, going about his business as usual and even dressing up as a clown to cheer sick hospitalized youngsters. In December 1978, a woman named Elizabeth Priest was waiting for her son to finish work so she could drive him home. He asked for a few moments to talk with a man who had offered him a new job. She phoned the cops when he didn’t return after many hours. As a result of their inquiry, they ended themselves at Gacy’s house.
In the residence, they discovered Elizabeth’s son’s attendance. Gacy finally admitted his guilt a few days later. When they investigated his residence, they discovered the dead of 29 people, and he was arrested.
Before being executed, the legendary killer clown spend 14 years in prison. Before being executed on May 10, 1994, he ordered fried chicken for his last meal.
