Taylor Swift Releases “Carolina,” Her New Single From “Where The Crawdads Sing”!
The 32-year-old singer has been trending lately on social media as she releases the full version of her latest song “Carolina” from the new movie ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ at midnight on June 24. After releasing the song Swift shared her experience with the song. She said that the song was written alone in the middle of the night. She even expressed that she wanted the sound to be authentic to the moment when this story happens.
The fans first came to hear the teaser for “Carolina” in the film’s trailer that was released earlier this December. And she even says that the fans don’t have any more blank space regarding the rest of the lyrics and can enjoy the whole track now that she has released them. The movie ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ is truly based on the best-selling novel by Delia Owens. She even remembers how she got completely lost in the book when she read it years ago and even shares her experience of reading through the Instagram post upon the release of the movie’s trailer.
As she came to know more about the movie she was longing to be a part of the film which had once brought her chills. The movie is produced by Reese Witherspoon and the casting includes Daisy Edgar-Jones, which grew her desire to be a part of the musical side. Thus her yearning made the 11-time Grammy winner write “Carolina” alone and even asked Aaron Dessner to produce the song.
Swift commended that she wanted to create something haunting and supernatural for “Carolina,” to match the fascinating story. And she even wanted to create something that Witherspoon will never forget once she heard the song.
In a recent chat for the film, Witherspoon spoke about her experience working with Swift. Taylor Swift was one of her favorite artists of all time and even says that her songwriting is so powerful and moving. When she heard that Swift had written a song for the movie, Witherspoon literally freaked out. She even continued, “But the fact that she read this book and loved it so much and then she heard we were making a movie, she was making her folklore album, and then she wrote a song with that whole folklore team, which was so haunting and magical, and the beautiful instruments that they used, I was blown away.”
Director Olivia Newman was also shocked on seeing how much it meant for Taylor Swift to be a part of the film. Newman explained that Swift has written a gorgeous letter explaining that she has used musical instruments that are available before 1953 to preserve the essence of the movie. Also, she said that Swift has recorded the song in just one take, the way they used to record songs at that time.
Swift has received 11 Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, 34 American Music Awards, 29 Billboard Music Awards, and 58 Guinness World Records, among other accolades. She is even regarded as a pop icon with her influential career, philanthropy, and support for artists’ rights and women’s empowerment.
