While walking onto the stage in a stylish suit set with an athletic twist, complete with shoes, the 55-year-old made it clear that she meant business. The actress slid into a jumpsuit with a tight V-neck top that flowed into loose wide-leg pants with a silver-buckled belt and silver shoes.
Added high-fashion flair to the design with a cropped blazer jacket that had dramatic ruched sleeves and long structured cuffs, as shown below.
Jackson is accessorized with a choker necklace in the same color as the dress. She chose a pair of white lace-up shoes for her performance because she wanted to be as comfortable as possible.
“That’s the Way Love Goes” singer Jennifer Hudson emphasized comfort in her performance. Jackson appeared on stage with the R&B group New Edition.
It was not the only fashion statement that drew notice during the weekend. Earlier this week, Dannielynn Birkhead, daughter of Larry Birkhead and the late Anna Nicole Smith, paid tribute to the late singer’s style ahead of the Kentucky Derby.
The 15-year-old attended the 33rd annual Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala on Friday, wearing an outfit virtually identical to Michael Jackson’s before 2003.
