In theatres and on Peacock, Universal Pictures’ latest picture, Firestarter, will premiere on May 13, 2022. It was designed to raise Peacock’s (Digital Release) subscription numbers in reaction to the pandemic, while also giving moviegoers an opportunity to watch the studio’s newest releases in the privacy and convenience of their own homes.
One of the film’s central characters is a little girl with special powers who must utilize them to save her family from a bunch of government operatives.
There are some notable alterations in the film between the novel and the original 1984 Firestarter. Firstly, Charlie’s parents are already dead when the story begins in both the book and film adaptations. Zac Efron, who plays her father in the upcoming Firestarter film, brings them to life.
Firestarter’s Plot
In an effort to keep their daughter, Charlie, from a government agency that wants to use her unique talent to transform fire into a weapon of mass destruction, a couple does everything they can.
“In her father’s teachings, Charlie was taught how to control her power, but as she ages, the fire grows more difficult to control. Eventually, an unidentified operative locates the family and makes an attempt to take Charlie away from them for good, but she has other plans.”

In “Firestarter,” Zac Efron plays a character that is a long cry from his days in “High School Musical,” in which he also stars in. Andy (Ryan Kiera Armstrong from The Walking Dead) is married to Vicky (Sydney Lemmon) and has a son named Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong). Trying to protect Charlie from people who would exploit her special skills has kept them on the run for more than a decade.
