The singer of the song “Without Me,” Halsey, is now speaking out in response to the recent Roe v. Wade decision in the United States. The majority of US states have now outlawed abortion in light of the most recent ruling. The artist recently wrote a letter in which she revealed her emotions and stated that the abortion she had before had unquestionably saved her life.
Halsey Recalls Suffering 3 Miscarriages
The 27-year-old singer revealed that numerous people have enquired about her choice to have an abortion. The majority of them were aware of Halsey’s years-long infertility struggles and the reasons she acted so rapidly to support an abortion. She never had strong feelings regarding abortion, which was her response to all the questions directed at it.
Additionally, she said, “I wasn’t a happy person at the time of the abortion, and I never supported abortion until I knew it would exacerbate my health and end my life.”
After Halsey had her abortion, it saved her life and even made it possible for her to have a healthy son years later.
She finally understood how choosing to have an abortion had improved her life.
She is unable to hold back from disclosing her true experience following the Roe v. Wade decision. According to her, every person has the right to make the best decision for themselves and deserves nothing less. The music star still has memories of the times when she struggled against the odds with one arm while tightly holding her kid in the other.
In July 2021, Halsey and her partner Alev Aydin joyfully gave birth to their son Ender Ridley.
Three miscarriages had occurred before she turned 24. The singer was really delighted when she became pregnant in the past, but she soon learned that she would not be able to carry the pregnancy to term. Despite her best efforts, her body dissatisfied her by permanently removing the baby bump.
She became utterly despondent as a result of the harsh irony that was repeated three times in a row.
Her body was unable to end the pregnancy on its own after one of her miscarriages, so she was forced to get an abortion. If the vocalist is not prepared to move with the possibility of aborting, she runs the risk of going into sepsis without medical help.
She said, “I cried because I was so terrified. I felt heartbroken and completely powerless. I was dejected. I was powerless because there was nothing I could do to prevent my pregnancy.
Halsey revealed that until she was in her third trimester of pregnancy with Ender, the pair had been scarred by the horrible experiences they had.
The singer was well equipped to handle the most trying time in her life.
Halsey was devastated to hear that Roe v. Wade had been overturned since she is opposed to the new law.
