Earlier this week, Phillips shared the cover of the screenplay, written by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver, his partner on the first film, with the jarring title “Joker: Folie à Deux,” on Instagram. A photo of Joaquin Phoenix reading the script was also included in the same post. An official from Warner Bros. did not respond quickly enough to a question regarding Phillips’ Instagram post.
Todd Phillips Shared A Picture Of Joaquin Phoenix Reading The Script In The Same Post
Phillips’ original “Joker” picture reframed the legendary Batman villain as a character study about a poor comic and part-time clown performer named Arthur Fleck who becomes a folk hero in Gotham City after committing shocking acts of violence.
Over $1 billion in ticket sales and 12 Oscars for best film, best director, and best-adapted screenplay made the concept a global hit, even though the film was moody and dark. This year’s Oscars saw Phoenix take home the best actor prize, while the best original score prize went to Hildur Gunadóttir.
One more time, The Joker will terrorize the daylights out of everyone! In a recent Instagram post, director Todd Phillips shared a picture of actor Joaquin Phoenix reading the script for Joker 2.
Phoenix, who starred in Walk the Line, was photographed by the director while reading from the script on what appeared to be a lovely sofa. The star only wore pinstripe slacks, a black T-shirt, and dark sunglasses.
The eagerly awaited sequel’s script is read aloud by star Joaquin Phoenix. It appears that the title of Joker 2: Folie à Deux will be “Joker 2: Folie à Deux” on the script’s red with black writing cover. Another way to put it is to say “Folie à Deux” means “shared craziness.” A shared illusion is said to exist between two people who are close to each other. Scott Silver, the screenwriter of 8 Mile, collaborated with Phillips on the script, which was primarily his work.
First Joker Film Was A Great Success

It was a critical success, winning numerous awards and nominations, making Joker an award winner.
With 11 Oscar nominations, the film was nominated for two of the highest honors. Joaquin Phoenix won the award for Best Actor, while Hildur Gunadóttir won the award for Best Original Score. A failed comic named Arthur Fleck stalks Gotham’s streets in search of companionship in Joker: The Dark Knight
For his work as a painter, Arthur wears a mask that he wears to blend in with the people around him. He spirals out of control as Fleck assumes the identity of the notorious criminal genius The Joker, who had been ignored and humiliated by society.
In addition, Phillips posted a picture of Phoenix reading the script on Instagram. After months of uncertainty, it appears that things are moving in the right direction. Assuming Phillips is indeed working on a follow-up, this is encouraging news. io9 has reached out to Warner Bros.
