Recently, Paramount+ has announced the launch of their U.K. commissioned authentic slate ahead of the streaming platform’s U.K. and Ireland launch on June 22. Ben Frow, Paramount’s chief content officer for the U.K, said that their mission is to make Paramount+ a leading destination for substantial television in association with the U.K.’s storytelling talent.

The British Capital has witnessed a big-budget launch that included countless celebrities like Eddie Redmayne, Bethenny Frankel, Kevin Costner, Viola Davis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Naomie Harris, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Bill Nighy, David Oyelowo, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Shannon, Sylvester Stallone, and many more. The launching ceremony was hosted by Graham Norton and was held in London’s newly opened Outernet development. The event was regarded as Paramount’s biggest and most enterprising marketing campaign in the U.K and even included countless A-list stars and A-list series and films.

Paramount+, according to him, is a mountain of entertainment for the entire family. It is the only service where you can see Sylvester Stallone, SpongeBob SquarePants, Star Trek, and South Park all in one place. And these all together make Paramount+ what a streaming service is meant to be.

The American subscription VOD service is all set to launch in the U.K and Ireland with broad content for the whole family, spanning new and exclusive Paramount+ originals, hit shows, and movies across every genre from Paramount’s world-renowned brands and production studios. They will also launch on Sky platforms in the UK and Ireland as part of a new multi-year distribution agreement that also includes the extended carriage of Paramount’s leading portfolio of pay-TV channels.
