My Happy Marriage is a romantic fantasy novel written by Akumi Agitogi and designed by Tsukiho Tsukioka. It began serialization in January of this year, and yen press will Publish the series soon in English. There are currently five volumes published.

The story follows the arranged marriage of an odd couple: Miyo, a noble-born abused woman, and Kiyoka, a cold-hearted soldier. Regardless of their difficulties, the two gradually open up their hearts to one another to maintain their happy marriage.
On April 5, the anime adaptation was announced. Yen Press published the series in the English language. The anime My Happy Marriage has released a teaser trailer and visual. The release date of My Happy Marriage Anime has not been set yet. We’ll keep an eye on the situation and notify readers when a firm release date is set.
What is ‘My Happy Marriage’s’ plot?
Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon is a ‘Cinderella tale’ that chronicles the narrative of Miyo Saimori, a kid of a loveless marriage. Miyo’s life is turned upside down after her mother, who was born into an arranged marriage. Miyo’s father, able to reconcile with and marry the true love of his life, dismisses her in favor of his new family.
Miyo finds herself as a servant of her household, tormented and degraded by her family members, including a nasty stepmother, a spoiled stepsister, and a cowardly father. She is only hoping to marry and leave her family home when she reaches the age of nineteen.
However, Miyo’s problem is that she has no potential suitors. While fantasy elements are present, Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon is mostly a slow-burn romance about the blooming relationship of two people whose upbringing has separated.
‘My Happy Marriage’ Cast
In the anime adaption of My Happy Marriage, Kaito Ishikawa and Reina Ueda star as Kiyoki Kudo and Miyo Saimiri, respectively. The anime’s director is Takehiro Kubota. Shoko Yasuda is the character designer, while Takao Abo is responsible for the screenplay.
The 3DCG director is Yuushi Koshida, while Evan Call handles the soundtrack. The animation writers were Takahito Onishi, Ami Sato, and Momoka Toyoda. Some more characters may be soon introduced in the series, but no official statement has been released yet.
Miyo Saimori Miyo is a prominent character in the series. After her mother dies, she finds herself in a Cinderella-like environment with a horrible stepmother and stepsister. Her family chooses Kiyoka Kudou, a distant relative, to be her spouse. He’s a military captain who has a reputation for being a cold-hearted groom.
‘My Happy Marriage’ Anime Animation Studio
Kinema Citrus has been selected to create the Watakon anime adaptation of My Happy Marriage (also known as Watakon). Takehiro Kubota will direct, with characters designed by Shoko Yasuda and music composed by Evan Call.
